Clemency for Snowden

Colin Starger, University of Baltimore School of Law

Abstract

Is NSA leaker and former government contractor Edward Snowden a hero or a traitor? Should he be given clemency or prosecuted on espionage charges? We hear from both sides on that and get reaction to President Obama’s speech on the NSA and surveillance. Our guests: NPR correspondent Tom Gjelton; Michael Greenberger, law professor and founding director of The University of Maryland’s Center for Health and Homeland Security (CHHS); and Colin Starger, a constitutional law scholar at the University of Baltimore.
